I just read reviews on one of the popular online stores in Ukraine, and there is information that TP-Link TL-WR842NDRU works with Intertelecom modems:

I don't have TP-Link TL-WR842NDRU right now. I could check it with my Huawei EC306 modem.
In any case, it is worth updating the firmware immediately after purchase. We have a separate instruction for updating the firmware for TL-WR842NDRU. Or try to configure the router, and if it does not see the modem, then update it.
