Hello! In this article I will tell you how to reset settings and passwords on Tenda routers. You can do a factory reset on almost every router, you can't do without this function. Very often, this opportunity helps out in the process of configuring the router itself, when you did something wrong and you need to start the configuration again. I always try to write about this in the instructions for configuring routers.

So, not only can you completely restore the settings to the factory settings, and you will have the router as new, you can also reset all passwords. The password for the Wi-Fi network, if you have forgotten it, but you failed to remember the password, and the password for accessing the settings. If the password that is used to connect to Wi-Fi can still be somehow viewed on a computer or router, then the password for entering the settings is unlikely to be restored. In such cases, a return to the factory settings will come in handy.

Reset password and factory reset on Tenda

Everything is done very simply and quickly. There are two ways: you can clear the parameters with a special button on the router itself, or you can do it through the settings.

Let's first look at the first, and most reliable, option - a push-button reset. After all, if you forgot the password to enter the settings, then through the settings it will definitely not work.

The router must be turned on. Take something sharp, such as a paper clip, or a toothpick, and press the RESET button for 10 secondswhich should be on the case of your Tenda router.

I did it on Tenda N3 (there is just one indicator), hold the button until the indicators stop blinking, but just light up. Release the button, the router will be rebooted, and the settings will be restored to the factory settings.

After restoring the settings, the standard username and password will be used when entering the control panel. You may find useful an article on entering settings on Tenda. And also, you will need to reconfigure the router, you can use the Tenda T3 setup article as an example.

Another way. We go into the settings of your router (the instruction is on the link that I gave above), and click in the upper right corner on the linkAdvanced Settings.

Then go to the tabSystem toolsRestore to Factory Default... Click on the buttonRestore to factory Defaultthen Ok to confirm.

We are waiting for the process to end.

That's all. Hope you were able to factory reset your Tenda router. If you have any questions, ask in the comments.
