Question: In LAN there is an Internet gateway and a router. The Internet gateway connects to the Internet using a PPPoE cable. Computers with shared files are connected to it. The D-link DIR-615 router is connected to the main cable and has a static address in the LAN. Other computers are connected to it via cables and Wi-Fi. When configuring the router as a WiFi point, all computers connected to it have access to the Internet, but do not see the shared files on computers connected to the gateway. Question: How to configure the Router so that it works like a bridge (i.e. all computers on the cable would see each other and could have their addresses in LAN) and distribute WiFi?
Answer:
What internet gateway do you have installed?
I think that the problem will be solved by disabling the DHCP server on the D-link DIR-615. And, possibly, connecting a cable from the main one not to the WAN port, but to the LAN. Need to try.
