Hello! My home Internet goes through a telephone line. Accordingly, I have a TP-LINK TD-8816 modem. And I have a question, can I buy TP-Link TL-WR940N Wireless Router or other similar routers? That is, connect my modem and router and get Wi-Fi throughout the house. Or you shouldn't bother with wires and buy a TP-Link TD-W8961N Wireless ADSL Modem or the like. I hope I have correctly stated my problem). And yet, which of these options is better than a modem + router or an ADSL modem right away. Where there will be speed and catching is better. Thanks!

Answer:

Hey. Yes, the question was well described, everything is clear. Both options are working. That is, you can just buy some kind of Wi-Fi router, connect it to a modem, and everything will work. Or you can simply change the ADSL to a new one with Wi-Fi support. As for the speed and signal of the Wi-Fi network, I think there won't be much difference. It all depends on the device you buy, and the speed from the provider.

More correctly, I think, is to buy a new modem that can distribute the Internet via Wi-Fi. There will simply be fewer devices and less wires. And the fewer devices, the fewer various problems with their work.

It's up to you to decide how you like it best.
