Hello! I decided to prepare a small instruction in which I will tell you, and of course, I will show in the photo how to reset the settings on a Totolink router. There is a return to the factory settings of the router, which were set by default. This thing is useful, and can save you from many obscure problems in the process of setting up and using the router.

Why do you need to reset the settings to the factory settings on the router. For example, you started configuring the router, set some parameters, and nothing happened. To prevent the old settings from interfering with us, we restore the factory settings on our Totolink router, and try to configure it again. It is also advised to reset the parameters when changing the Internet provider. Then it will be easier to configure the router to work with the new provider. Well, if your router stops working, or does not work as before, you can always restore the settings and configure it again.

As for Totolink routers specifically, the reset process there is practically no different from routers from other manufacturers. We find the "RST" (Reset) button, press it, and hold it for 5 seconds. The router will reboot and the settings will be restored to the factory settings. You can also do a soft reset through the router's control panel.

Restoring factory settings on a Totolink router

The first and easiest option is to use a special button on the router itself. On my Totolink N150RT, this button is on the back panel, and is signed as "RST-WPS"... This means that it is combined with the activation of the WPS function. When you press the button, WPS is activated, and if you press and hold for about 5 seconds, the settings will be reset. The router must of course be turned on.

Press, hold, and look at the indicators. When all indicators start blinking actively, you can release the button.

Software reset via control panel

First you need to go to the router settings. Connect to it, and go to 192.168.1.1 in the browser. If you do not know how to do this, then see a separate instruction: https://help-wifi.com/totolink/kak-zajti-v-nastrojki-routera-totolink-na-primere-modeli-totolink-n150rt/.

If your settings are in English, then click on the "Advanced Setup" button, and change the language of the control panel as shown in the screenshot below.

On the left, go to the "Maintenance" - "Save / Load Settings" section. Click on the "Install" button next to "Set default settings". And confirm to reset the current settings.

The router will reboot and the settings will be reset.

That's all. I think you did it.
