How to find the local IP address of the router?

Hello. I got a job recently, there is such a case: the ADSL router was connected to the switch through the ICS server, ICS was screwed up and suddenly shut down. How to find out the IP of the router? DHCP is not configured on it, the address is statically registered in the entire network of ~ 400 computers.

The most I came up with was to connect the router directly to the laptop and scan 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255, there was no result. I tried to do a ping, sort of like a broadcast to 255.255.255.255, didn't help either. As a result, we somehow found the login password, reset it and set it up. But the problem is haunted. Is it so hard to find out the node address except by brute force?

Answer

There is one way. After connecting the router to the computer, go to the "Network" tab, and the router itself should be displayed there.

Right-click on it and select "View device webpage".

I think it should work out.

Watch the video: Assign static IP address via DHCP on the TP-Link (September 2024).
