I decided to tell a little about the TP-Link Archer C60 router (AC1350). I think the article will be useful to everyone who considers this model as a home router, or even for an office.

Let's go straight to the main characteristics. This is a dual band router. It can broadcast a Wi-Fi network at 5GHz and it has support for the 802.11ac standard. Theoretically, the maximum speed over Wi-Fi is 1350 Mbps. Up to 450 Mbps at 2.4 GHz, and up to 867 Mbps at 5 GHz. The router looks interesting, thanks to as many as five antennas. Three antennas provide coverage for 2.4 GHz and two antennas for 5 GHz. Antennas, by the way, are not removable.

LAN and WAN ports operate at 100 Mbps. It's a little sad, of course. I would like to see gigabit ports. Well, the second disadvantage is the lack of a USB port. If you want gigabit ports and a USB port then check out the TP-LINK Archer C2. There, the Wi-Fi speed will be slightly lower than that of the TP-Link Archer C60 (you will not notice this, most likely), but everything is OK with the ports.

If anyone is interested in the stuffing of a router, the Archer C60 runs on a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9561 processor. The frequency of which is 775 MHz. 64 MB RAM and 8 MB constant. Of course, the router will withstand online games without problems, watching online videos in good quality, etc. There should be no problems with the stability of the work.

TP-Link Archer C60 review

I'll start with the box: it's big. Really big. Most likely this is due to the fact that the router itself is not small, so the antennas are also non-removable.

The complete set is standard: a router, a power adapter, a network cable and pieces of paper.

The body is made of gray matte plastic. So are the antennas. Only the upper part is made of white glossy plastic with an interesting structure. Other models of TP-Link routers are made in a similar design. For example: TP-LINK Archer C20, which we have already reviewed.

On the front panel there are indicators and a company logo.

The antennas fold, but you cannot hang the router on the wall. No holes required.

Below is all the factory information (address to enter the control panel, factory username, passwords, etc.). There are also many cooling holes for the TP-Link Archer C60.

All ports and buttons are located on the rear panel. Everything is standard there: 4 LAN ports, 1 WAN, a power connector, an On / Off button, a button to turn off Wi-Fi / activate WPS, and a button recessed into the case for resetting settings.

A new, modern control panel is already installed on the router.

There is support for management through the Tether app.

Reviews of TP-Link Archer C60 router

After reading the reviews, I did not find anything interesting. And so far there are few reviews themselves. Since the model is relatively new. So I hope for you. If you have already purchased TP-Link Archer C60, then be sure to leave your feedback in the comments.

As for the reviews, I also wanted to clarify one point. When choosing a router, people are most interested in the coverage area of a Wi-Fi network. This is understandable, everyone wants to have a Wi-Fi network throughout the house, or apartment. But, friends, it is impossible to even roughly say what area a certain router will cover. Wi-Fi network coverage depends on a very large number of different external factors. Hence these strange and different reviews. For one user, Wi-Fi does not catch through 1 wall, and for the second, there are two floors throughout the house, and also in the yard.

As practice shows, the range of Wi-Fi depends not so much on a particular router, antennas installed on it, and even more so on their number, as on these "external factors".

TP-Link Archer C60 is an interesting and beautiful router model. It can easily withstand heavy loads and the connection of a large number of devices. But the 100-megabit ports and the lack of a USB port upset me a little. In this model, the emphasis was placed on the speed of the Wi-Fi network and the stability of this network. And I had to sacrifice something.
