Good afternoon! Tell me please! I have a TP-Link router with DSL input + 4 network slots. I can't go to it in its settings through the browser 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 does not help: (((The Reset button also does not work (The device does not reset). But at the same time, the laptop sees it as an access point. I can’t wi-fi because I don’t know the password from him. Please help me solve the problem. Thanks in advance!

Answer

Good afternoon. Let's go in order:

  • A computer or laptop from which it is impossible to enter the ADSL settings of the TP-Link modem is connected to the modem via a cable? Is the computer set to automatically obtain IP? I wrote about possible reasons in an article with solutions to problems with entering the router settings.
  • Try opening the settings at tplinkmodem.net.
  • Regarding resetting the settings on the TP-Link ADSL modem. Did you do it right? You need to turn on the router, and hold the Reset button with something sharp for about 10 seconds.Press the button and hold it. At this point, look at the indicators. From them you will understand when the reset occurred. The button can be released.
  • Further, about connecting to a Wi-Fi network of a modem from a laptop. If you (or someone) did not change the password, then try the factory password. It should be indicated on the bottom of the modem, on a sticker. Most often signed as a PIN.

Try it. You can write about the results in the comments.
