In this article, I will show you how to log in to your TP-Link personal account to configure the router, to change the password (factory admin, or to the Wi-Fi network), network name, etc. Following this instruction, you can access settings of any router (any model) from this manufacturer. I don't know why, but for some reason many people call the web interface (settings page) of the router a personal account. Probably they just got used to the fact that an Internet provider, operators, etc. have a personal account. This is not entirely correct, but in fact it does not change anything. Our task is to get access to the settings of the TP-Link router, and now we will do it!

The main thing is to correctly connect the device (from which we will enter our personal account) to the router. You can connect in two ways: by cable (from a PC, laptop), or via Wi-Fi (from a computer, phone, tablet).

Important! Your device should only be connected to a TP-Link router! Only one active connection.

  1. Or by cable (LAN):
  2. Or via Wi-Fi from any device that has such an opportunity.
If the network name and password have already been changed on your router, then connect to your network with your password. If the router is new (at factory settings), then after turning it on, it immediately starts broadcasting the wireless network with the name indicated on the sticker below (SSID). There will also be a factory password for connecting to this network. If you do not know how to connect your device to Wi-Fi - look for instructions on our website through the website search.

After connecting to the router, there may be a status "Without Internet access". This is normal! You don't need internet access to log into your router's personal account!

Opening your personal account (web interface) TP-Link

  1. You need to find out the address of the personal account of the TP-Link router. All new models use the address http://tplinkwifi.net... Plus the IP address also works http://192.168.0.1... Previously, only the IP address was used http://192.168.1.1... You can see the factory address of the settings page on the sticker on the bottom of the router.
In addition to the address (Default Access), the factory login and password (admin and admin), the factory name of the Wi-Fi network (SSID) and the password to it (Wireless Password) are also indicated there.
  2. On the device that is connected to the router, you need to launch the browser and go to the address indicated on the router. Important! To get to the router's personal account, and not to the search engine page, the address must be entered in the address bar!
  3. If everything is done correctly, the router will ask you to either enter a username and password for authorization in your personal account (or just a password, on new models). On TP-Link routers, the factory username is always - admin, and the password is admin... If you have already changed them, enter your data. If you don't remember them, you will have to do a factory reset.
Or set (change) the administrator password. If the router is new, it has not been configured yet.
  4. After entering the data for authorization, or changing the password, the router's personal account will open with all the settings. On new models of routers from TP-Link, it looks like this:
On older and budget models, it looks like this:
There is also the exact same web interface (by arrangement of elements), but in blue tones.

Then you can change the settings of your TP-Link router. We have a lot of instructions for these devices on our website. You can find them through the website search, or in the TP-Link section.

Additional Information

Below I will leave links to other instructions that you may find useful. For example, when following the instructions above, it was not possible to open a personal account with TP-Link settings. Doesn't log into the router's web interface.

  • Does not enter the router settings for 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
  • Why isn't he visiting tplinkwifi.net? TP-Link router settings page does not open
  • How to enter TP-Link router settings?
  • tplinkwifi.net - enter the router settings
  • 192.168.0.1 - the entrance to the router, or modem. admin and admin
  • 192.168.1.1 - login to the router, login and password admin

That's all! I will be happy to answer all your questions in the comments. Write!
