Hello Sergey, I have two 4G modems and both of them work fine when connected directly to a laptop, but when connected to a TP-Link router, the distribution of WI-FI is excellent, but the modems themselves start to malfunction (they lose connection when temporarily , when completely) and not only with this router, I tried another, everything is the same. Please tell me what can be done, I tried and reset on routers and re-configured everything, nothing helped, the connection is also lost.

Answer

Hello. Sorry for the slight delay in reply.

The problem is understandable in principle, but I would like to know more specific information about how exactly modems lose communication. What's happening? Does the modem break the connection with the operator, and the WI-FI connection becomes without access to the Internet?

I think the problem may be in poor coverage, exactly in the place where the router is. Or do you have a good cellular operator network? Also, similar problems are observed when connecting 4G modems to routers via a USB extension cable. Well, due to some problems with the router, there may be such loss of connection. When, for example, there is not enough power. Although, why then with another router the same problem.

I think we need to ask the operator's support, maybe they can advise something. Can't change the modem?
