Good afternoon!
I reinstalled Windows 7 on an ASUS B551LA laptop, downloaded the drivers from the official site, but when I pressed Fn + F2, it constantly displays "all wireless devices Off".
The network adapter is connected, the driver is supplied for it.
I tried installing the Keyboard Device Filter Utility, it did not help.
Reinstalled Windows again, no result either.
Answer
Good afternoon. It would be nice to know more information on the problem. For example, was Wi-Fi working fine on this laptop before reinstalling the system. What is the connection status (tray icon).
There is a Wi-Fi adapter in the device manager. You have this IntelĀ® Dual Band Wireless-N 7260. It is turned on and working without errors. Usually, pressing the Fn + F2 key combination on ASUS notebooks turns on Wi-Fi (wireless modules), and when pressed again, turns off. It's weird that you get the "all wireless devices Off" error every time you press it and the Wi-Fi won't turn on.
Try the following:
- Enable wireless via Mobility Center (Win + X). Read more in the article How to enable Wi-Fi on a laptop with Windows 7.
- Look carefully at the recommendations in the article on how to enable and connect Wi-Fi on an ASUS laptop.
- If all else fails, download the Wireless (Intel WiFi Wireless LAN Driver) driver for the B551LA from the ASUS website. Selecting Windows 7 on the site and install it. Detailed instructions here: how to install the Wi-Fi adapter driver on an ASUS laptop.
- You have a lot of unknown devices in your device manager. It is advisable to install all necessary drivers from the ASUS website. Primarily on Chipset, ATK (for function keys), Bluetooth, LAN. All these drivers for your laptop are on the official website. I checked.
You will have to download them from another device and transfer them to your laptop (since you cannot connect your laptop to the Internet).
I think these solutions are more than enough to solve your problem.
