Good day! I ask for advice, the fact is that my TP link td-w8951nd router has not been working for the first year, there were sometimes problems with it, such as interruptions in the distribution of the network (every 5 minutes it was interrupted for 10-15 seconds), but once again after the rain it did stopped distributing the network, works only through a cable connected to the computer. Previously, if there were any problems with the Internet, I went to 192.168.1.1 and there, changing the password for distribution (such as Wps protection), everything started working and everything was fine, but now it does not even go to the address 192.168.1.1, I turned it on / off, and pressed two buttons behind, left alone for a while, no changes happened, please tell me how and what to do, or re-configure it, I will be very grateful!

Answer

Hello. An interesting solution you previously had was to change the password of the Wi-Fi network. I think it was just resetting the TP-Link TD-W8951ND that helped. That happened after changing the password and the Internet started working again.

I'm 90% sure that this is a hardware failure. That is, something with the hardware (the board itself), or the power adapter.

The buttons do not need to be pressed two, but the Reset button should be held pressed for 10 seconds. You will see by the indicators that a reset has occurred. If after that it is not possible to log into 192.168.1.1, then this is definitely a hardware failure. Provided you are doing everything right. You can also look at the article: it does not enter the router settings for 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

By the way, TP-Link TD-W8951ND has a button to disable Wi-Fi network. Maybe you accidentally pressed it? Try pressing it again, or press and hold for 3 seconds. Is the Wi-Fi indicator off?

You will most likely have to buy a new router. But without seeing the device itself, I cannot say anything concrete, only guesses.
