I don't remember on which forum I read that you can connect an LG LM620T TV. I found one in China 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 300 Mbps 802.11a / b / g / n WLAN Wireless adapter USB WiFi adapter For LG Smart TV Windows 7/8/10 for Broadcom BCM4323. The TV does not recognize it when connected. How to configure, do you need a driver?

Answer

To begin with, your LG 42LM620T does indeed have a Smart TV and can be connected to the internet. There is no built-in Wi-Fi module in it, but it can be connected via USB. The TV also has a LAN port. You can connect the Internet via cable.

As far as I know, LG TVs (like TVs from other manufacturers) only support branded Wi-Fi adapters. There they have an adapter LG AN-WF100 and LG AN-WF500. Maybe new models have already appeared. In any case, you need to check with support which adapter is required for your TV. This is not indicated in the characteristics.

As for the Chinese Wi-Fi receivers for LG TVs. I highly doubt that the TV will recognize and work with a non-branded receiver. Even if it is built on the same chip as the original one.

You have not provided a link to your receiver, and you have not attached a photo. This is bad. But it seems to me that you have a receiver with a LAN port. There are some in Chinese stores. This is a kind of mini-repeater that connects to the TV's USB port (only for power), then using the WPS button connects to the home Wi-Fi network and transmits the Internet to the TV via a network cable. It looks something like this:

The scheme turns out approximately the same as I described in the article how to connect a TV without Wi-Fi to the Internet via Wi-Fi. Only there I used a Wi-Fi router as a receiver.

If you have the same receiver as in the photo above, then the TV should not detect it. The Internet is connected to the TV via a cable from the receiver. A receiver to your Wi-Fi network.

Well, if you have an ordinary receiver, which, as it were, should work with an LG TV, but does not work, then you can hardly do something there. This is not a computer, there is no way to install drivers on the TV.
