Good afternoon. Tell me how to connect the Canon PIXMA G3411 MFP via WIFi to the ASUS RTN 12 router in all the instructions that I found you need to press the WPS button, but it is not on the router. What should I do? Thank you very much for your help.

Answer

Good afternoon. ASUS RT-N12 router has a lot of modifications (+, VP, C1, D1, D, P). What is yours? It's just that ASUS RT-N12 has a WPS button.

In any case, you can try to activate WPS on the router to connect the printer via the web interface. To do this, go to the router settings (in your case, the ASUS router settings). Usually, when there is no WPS button on the router case (which is very rare), then in the settings, in the WPS section ("Wireless network" - "WPS") there should be button to activate this function.

But you can do otherwise. In the instructions for the printer, or on the screen of the printer itself, a PIN code may also be indicated. In the manual for Canon PIXMA G3411 I found the following information (you need to print information about the network settings of the printer):

This PIN code can be specified in a special field in the settings of the router, and the printer will connect to the router. On ASUS routers, this can be done in the "Wireless network" - "WPS" section. Simply enter the printer's PIN code in the "Client PIN Code" field and click "Start".

Or on older web interfaces:

You can read about WPS settings on routers from other manufacturers in this article: What is WPS on a Wi-Fi router? How to use the WPS function?

Try it, the printer should connect to the router.
