Problems with WI-FI on a laptop (low signal level)

TP-Link TL-WR741ND router model.

Everything was fine, but up to a certain point. The fact is that the charger on the laptop was broken. The laptop was idle for a week. and the battery is broken. After buying a new charger, I found that the signal level dropped to one division (the router is 15 cm from the laptop) and it slows down a lot in browsers, sometimes it restarted itself or turned off and only restarting the Internet helped. I would blame everything on the breakdown of the receiver, but the most interesting thing is that everything works perfectly in online games. Ping does not exceed the permissible limits and everything works well, although the signal level is also weak.

The registry was cleaned, browsers also, power on high performance and the adapter was not disconnected to save, the drivers were updated.

Answer

You need to start by looking for the culprit. Anyway, the problem is either in the laptop or in the TP-Link TL-WR741ND router. Connect another device to the router, at least a smartphone. Look at the signal level and speed. Well, you can try to connect the laptop to another network, check everything.

For ping, you probably need a good network, but for speed ...

I sat, thinking how a long shutdown of the laptop, or changing the charging can affect the Internet. Nothing new came to mind.
