Setting up a mobile hotspot via USB modem MTS

Given:

• MSI GE70 laptop for Windows 10 (1607);
• 4G USB modem (modem and communication from MTS)

Setting up a mobile hotspot:

Connection: MTS RUS

When you try to switch the slider ("Allow the use of my Internet connection on other devices") to the "On" position in Settings / Network and Internet / Mobile hotspot.

Gives an error message:

• "This Internet connection cannot be shared because there is no mobile network connection."

What could be the catch, not in the mts modem?

Good afternoon. There, when setting up a mobile hotspot function via a USB modem, there are some nuances.

Most likely, you need to have the "Cellular" tab active. Then the mobile hotspot will see the connection.
