Loss of WI-FI signal when connecting a large number of devices

Good afternoon. For 6 months, together with the provider, we are suffering with the loss of the signal on WI-FI.

The bottom line: On the roof of the building there is a 16-port media converter switch, which receives a fiber-optic cable from the provider. Next comes the connection with a 1Gbit router (at first there was Tp-link Archer C2), now mirotik (according to the operator, industrial). From this router, 2 network gigabit cables are laid down and are connected to an additional 2 routers. Those. 3 routers = 3 password-protected networks + 2 guests. All this stuff works like a clock at normal time, but as soon as one day the hall is filled with people, it becomes impossible to connect via WI-FI with the main router (mikrotik). The provider recommended to supplement this composition with an additional antenna (in the form of a UFO). It costs about 2500 UAH itself, but the issue was not even resolved with it. Wifi is both lost and lost. BUT the Internet itself works by cable. Can you tell us a solution? Thank you in advance.

Answer

Good afternoon. There are a lot of incomprehensible moments. Specify the following information in the comments:

  1. What model of MikroTik router?
  2. Approximately how many clients connect to Wi-Fi and then the Wi-Fi signal is lost?
  3. Describe how exactly the Wi-Fi disappears and why it fails to connect? Which mistakes? Devices stop seeing the network? What are you doing to make it work again?
  4. What frequency does the problem Wi-Fi network operate on?
  5. Does the Wi-Fi network of those two routers that are connected to MikroTik work fine?

I think that the point is that MikroTik simply cannot withstand the load. After all, it is created by how much I understood a large number of Wi-Fi clients, so there are also two routers that are connected via cable.
