Doesn't enter router settings after firmware update

Hey. After a thunderstorm, the WAN port on the TP-LINK TL-WR841ND router burned out. I reassigned the WAN port to LAN 4 in the router settings and it worked. After a long time, the Internet began to disappear on all devices connected to the router, including the computer itself. I decided to update the firmware, and after the update, all the settings went off by itself, including those where I reconfigured the WAN port to LAN4 and now I cannot enter the router settings due to the fact that the router does not see the provider's cable. Help me please.

Answer

Hello! Something is wrong with you. In the sense that Internet access is not required to enter the TP-LINK TL-WR841ND settings. You can even not connect the cable to the WAN (in your case, to the LAN port). You must first solve the problem with logging into the control panel. See the article on this topic: it does not enter the router settings for 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

When you try to enter the settings, do you connect the router via cable? Try to connect to different LAN ports. You can also try to log in via Wi-Fi. Are the indicators on the TP-LINK TL-WR841ND lit normally, as usual? Did the firmware process go smoothly?
