Today I will show you one useful device from TP-Link. A small 3-port USB 3.0 hub (aka hub) with a built-in Gigabit Ethernet adapter. All this is packed in a beautiful case and is called TP-Link UE330.

This device is primarily needed in order to increase the number of USB ports in your laptop or stationary computer. And, of course, for connecting to the Internet via a network cable. It seems to me that TP-Link UE330 is just perfect for modern laptops. I will introduce ultrabooks with 1-2 USB ports (and even then not always) and of course no Ethernet. Since the connector itself is thicker than the laptop. If you have an ultrabook, then you simply cannot do without such an adapter.

And for a regular PC, this device will easily replace the built-in network card, which very often fail. Or maybe you just need a faster interface. Since the LAN port in this adapter is gigabit. That is, it can transmit information at speeds up to 1000 Mbps. Plus three more USB 3.0 ports, which will definitely not be superfluous.

You can connect anything through this hub: flash drives, modems, external hard drives, receivers from mice and keyboards, printers, etc.

Works on Windows XP to a dozen, Mac OS X, Linux OS and Chrome OS. There are reviews that it connects and works with the Xiaomi 4K Mi Box 3 Smart TV box without any problems.

TP-Link UE330 Review

In a small box you will find only the device itself and a few pieces of paper.

The plastic is very high quality. Great build. TP-Link has no problems at all in this regard. A lot of TP-Link devices are made in such a glossy white plastic. I noticed for a long time that when you take a new device out of the box (not only the UE330), it has a very pleasant smell. All glossy plastic is protected by a film.

At the top is an indicator that glows white. Below are three USB 3.0 ports and a company logo. At the end there is a LAN port with two indicators.

We connect and use.

I think it will look great with a laptop in a white or aluminum case. With a Macbook, for example.

Connection and configuration

I did not install the driver. Everything worked right after connecting to a laptop on Windows 10. The device manager now has a "SuperSpeed Universal USB Hub" and a "TP-LINK Gigabit Ethernet USB Adapter" network adapter.

If your system cannot recognize the device, then just download and install the driver. The driver for TP-Link UE330 can be downloaded from the link http://www.tp-link.com/ru/download/UE330.html. There is one driver for all Windows versions, and the second for Mac.

To install the driver, simply run the setup.exe file located in the folder inside the archive.
