Hello! I use the Internet on a PC via a usb 4G modem ... I decided to combine the PC with a TV to watch movies via Wi-Fi, for this I connected a DIR-615 router to the PC, but the PC sees it as an unidentified network ..

The TV also finds the Wi-Fi DIR-615 network .. I also cannot enter the router settings, although before using USB 4G everything worked out well.

Answer

Hello. You will not be able to enter the settings of the D-Link DIR-615 router while the connection status is "Unrecognized network" on the computer. The connection should be established. This problem is most likely for three reasons:

  1. Some static settings of IP addresses on the computer are specified in the properties of the local area network connection. You need to set automatic receipt of addresses for IPv4, or just reset the network on your computer. But after that, most likely you will have to reconfigure the connection via the 4G USB modem.
  2. Perhaps this is due to the settings of the router. Therefore, on it, I also advise you to reset the settings according to the instructions: how to reset the settings and password on the D-link router.
  3. It is possible that the problem is in the network cable. With which you connect the PC to the D-Link DIR-615. This also happens.

Or just disconnect the USB modem connection.

When the computer is able to connect to the DIR-615, you can enter its control panel. But, most likely, if an Internet connection is established via a 4G modem, then there will be no connection to the router.
