Drivers on LAN Killer E2500 Gigabit Ethernet Controller crashed, I can't reinstall on MSI laptop

Zdarova Sergey. I need your advice. My MSI GS63 Stealth 8RE suffers from something strange.

Installed new Windows 10, from the official Microsoft website. All drivers are automatically installed, except for the LAN port. Since I have all the firewood on a USB flash drive, I decided to install it manually. But every time I ran into an error. LAN adapters were not indicated in any way.

After 1-2 days of wandering on the Internet, trying installations of earlier versions of the same driver on the LAN (Killer eternet e2500), and all sorts of shamanism, I was finally ready to give up.

I wanted to install an old broken one (pirate Vin 10), because the firewood worked on it, and there were no problems with the lan.

I was about to start looking for a new Windows, and then my gaze falls to the lower right corner of the monitor, and lo and behold, I see the same icon for connecting to the Internet via LAN, I almost cried.

Moreover, it happened from a lantern. At that time, I had already stopped all attempts to restore firewood. I go to the network adapters, I see the program is installed. For a week everything was fine, and again 25. Firewood fell off by itself, LAN does not work.

I would be grateful for any information.

Hello. I don't understand why install drivers from a USB flash drive, if the MSI website has all the drivers for the GS63 8RE Stealth (under Windows 10). Including on LAN. And they are relatively fresh there. What is the result of installing the Killer LAN Driver for the network adapter downloaded from the MSI website? How is the installation going?

If the error is as in the first screenshot "Incompatible hardware detected ....", then either you are trying to install the wrong driver (the screenshot was taken when installing another driver), or the system does not see the network card at all. It just isn't connected. This may be due to some kind of hardware problem. This is what can be seen in the screenshot from the Device Manager. There is no network adapter at all. Even as an unknown device (when the system sees the network card, but the driver is not installed). Most likely it will appear there if you check the "Show hidden devices" checkbox on the "View" tab.

In this situation (when there is no LAN adapter in the device manager in any form), I can advise the following:

  1. Try clicking on the "Update hardware configuration" button in the device manager.
  2. Try to find the LAN adapter settings in the BIOS. Maybe he's disconnected there somehow. Reset BIOS settings to factory settings.
  3. Install all the latest Windows 10 updates.
  4. Reinstall Windows 10 and format the system drive. Then try installing the driver on the LAN Killer Ethernet E2500 from the MSI website.

If the network card was displayed in the device manager at least as an unknown device (Ethernet controller), or as a Killer E2500 Gigabit Ethernet Controller but with an error, then there would be many more options for solving the problem.

In touch in the comments.
