Other computers and phones on the local network through a router

Three computers (windows 10, windows10, windows 8), three tablets on Android and two phones on Android use the Internet from one router. Computers are combined into a home group and, accordingly, are displayed in the "network" tab. Recently I see in the "network" some other people's computers, phones and tablets. I don't see my tablets and phones, as I've never seen. I changed the password on the Wi-Fi, the problem did not disappear. The provider says this is how Windows 10 works. But I don’t believe something ... Tell me how to decide, and whether it is necessary to solve something? Can these other people's computers get into mine (I can't go to them, only shows the poppy addresses)? Thanks!

Answer

This is all very strange. Take a look at these "alien" computers and phones on your local network. The provider most likely has nothing to do with it, since the local network goes through a router. And other people's phones have something to do with it, they can only connect via Wi-Fi. And in general, it seems to me that phones cannot be displayed on the "Network" tab. Is there a popular provider?

And your router? It's bad that you didn't write which model.

Go to the router settings and see the list of DHCP clients. Or just a list of connected devices. All devices that are connected to the router should be displayed there. See if there are any "left" devices. Even if there were some other people's devices connected to your network, then after changing the password they should have "fallen off".

Together with the password, you can also try changing the name of the Wi-Fi network.
