Hello. I got a router. connected, configured. all OK. If not for one BUT. The speed for uploading files (from my computer to the Internet) is less than 100 Kb / s (sometimes 20 Kb). The download speed (from the Internet to my computer) is excellent as the provider promises (100 Mb / s).
If you insert the Internet wire directly into the computer (without a router), then everything is fine and loads and unloads as needed. The provider cannot say anything, they say they do not see the routers and cannot advise anything - "if everything is ok, then the problem is not with us." I changed the wire from the router to the computer - it did not help ... SAVE the files ... I work with video - I always need to upload files larger than 4GB ... and here one photo spills out in 5-7 minutes ... THANKS
Answer
Hello. Well, you would at least write a router model. If the upload speed is normal when the cable is connected directly to the computer, then the problem is really not on the provider's side (most likely). Such a low upload speed when checking through Speedtest?
You need to understand what the reason is. In a router, or computer. To do this, connect another computer to the router (preferably via the same cable) and check the speed. Maybe someone can borrow a laptop. If there is no way to connect via cable, check the speed on any device via Wi-Fi. I think this will clarify a lot.
Do you have a very long cable from your router to your computer? Did you connect the cable to different LAN ports on the router?
I would also update the firmware of the router, do a factory reset and configure it again.
Clarify your question, check the upload speed on another device and we will think further.
