Hello, some problems started two days ago. I play games on my computer, on my phone, and all over Wi-Fi. The ZyXel router is connected to a different computer than the one I'm playing with. In general, the problem is such that in all games I am thrown out with the inscription `` Lost connection to the server ''. I do not know what to do! I go to the Warface game, it takes 2-4 minutes and throws it out. The network is cut off for some seconds and immediately turned on. I will not be able to connect directly, since the wire is routed only to one computer, it simply will not reach another.

Three days ago everything was fine, help me solve the problem with the router, maybe some settings need to be made. ZyXel Keenetic Omni router.

Answer

Hello. Let's think logically. If the error `` Lost connection to server '' appears in different online games, then the problem is not in any particular game. Remains a computer and a router. Since the computer is not connected via a cable, it means it is connected via Wi-Fi. Most likely via a USB Wi-Fi adapter (if it is a PC), which can cause network disruptions. Moreover, when playing online, there is a decent load. Both on the receiver itself and on the router.

You need to look for the reason. No other way. You can temporarily connect this computer (which has an error in online games) to the router via cable. Check if an error appears. You can run the same games on another computer. Or test this Wi-Fi receiver on another computer.

If the router is inexpensive (weak), or already a little "tired", then it can also be the reason for such short-term disconnections under load. And as I wrote above, online games put a good load on the router and adapter. But the ZyXel Keenetic Omni does not seem to be the weakest router, it should cope with this load.

Exactly the same with the adapter. Conventional, inexpensive models may simply not be able to handle the load. Therefore, in online games there is a disconnection. There may be interference causing the Wi-Fi connection to become unstable.

Try to find out what is the reason. You can update the router firmware and the Wi-Fi adapter driver on your PC.
