Hello. Large telecom operators now provide a convenient service - traffic transfer from one telephone number to another. As a result, it is enough to buy one big traffic package and use it on all your devices. At least that's how it looks in theory. In practice, it is far from always possible to set up such a transmission, even with the help of the operator's specialists. As a result, the hotspot function on smartphones is still relevant, which we will talk about today. Let me remind you that you can use it to turn your smartphone into a small router and distribute the Internet to other devices. Let's test what such a router is really good for, using the example of as many as 4 Android devices that differ in power and price, namely smartphones from TurboPad - Turbo X5 Space, Turbo X5 Hero, Turbo X5 Black and Turbo X5 Max.

Let's briefly introduce the test participants. Turbo X5 Space is the most affordable (about 4 thousand rubles) smartphone from today's devices. Very simple, lightweight and compact, works like the rest of the testers on Android 6.0.

Turbo X5 Black boasts a thin body, very, very good IPS-screen, and a camera from Sony. The pictures are cool, both from the main camera and from the front. The price varies around the mark of 5 thousand rubles.

The Turbo X5 Hero is equipped with a solid 4000mAh battery, which makes it quite a hefty "long-liver". The charge is enough for 2 days of work away from the outlet without any problems. Looking ahead, this makes Hero a very practical device, in particular, when distributing the Internet. The price tag is about a thousand more expensive than Black - about 6,000 rubles

And finally, the Turbo X5 Max, the average price is 6.5 thousand rubles. - in terms of size, it is closer to a hybrid of a smartphone and a tablet (smartset). The device has an impressive 5.5-inch IPS screen and austere design. The device is not for every pocket, many will prefer to carry it in a bag, but the convenience of the large screen is worth it.

Let's try to create a network. This is done on all four smartphones in just a few taps. But creating a network ... that alone is not enough. Let's see how many devices can be connected at the same time and how this will affect the performance of the device. As practice shows, even powerful routers can reduce performance due to overheating (just remember the popular Asus N66 at the time).

Let's start. Turbo X5 Space: holds three devices without any difficulty, allows you to use the browser at the same time, but you can't play in Asphalt 8 in this mode, active frame drops begin (it disappears when no more than one device is connected at the same time).

Turbo X5 Black: Likewise, holds three devices, supports Asphalt 8 at medium quality settings. Note the very active power consumption, in this mode the device can last no more than two hours.

Turbo X5 Hero: matches Black's performance, but the battery lasts a little less than 5 hours in the toughest mode. A very decent indicator, you can distribute the Internet to friends without fear of being alone with a dead phone.

Turbo X5 Max: Despite having a larger battery than the Hero, the hard mode results are more modest. With the simultaneous connection of three devices in access point mode and playing Asphalt 8, the gadget lasted 3.5 hours.

It is worth noting that there were no slowdowns when accessing the Internet from connected devices in any of the four cases. With the reference 1.2 Mbit / s of the distributor, no more than 10-12% of the speed was lost when distributing the Internet. Here we must pay tribute to the quad-core MT6580 processor used in all four smartphones, which has good performance and moderate heating rates.

Thus, we can say with confidence that modern gadgets are more than able to work as a router, as well as to do their daily tasks (multimedia, Internet, games) without losing performance. And our today's heroes of testing are a vivid example of this.
