Wi-Fi glitches through different Tenda and TP-Link routers

Hello. At one point, my Tenda N301 router, purchased in July 2017, began to distribute the Internet badly: sites open for a long time, the speed is low. Moreover, it was confirmed on 4 devices: Acer laptop, HTC and iPhone, and XBox. There was a feeling that the signal was breaking through, then again "stalling", because periodically the Internet "flew". The direct connection test showed stable Internet operation and the speed declared by the provider. There were attempts to change the channel from 1 to 13 and the auto mode, an analysis of the fullness of the channels was carried out through special software, the problem was not solved, the type of security changed. Nothing helped.

Further, two TR-Link routers were configured and tested, the situation is similar: dead Internet, occasionally showing signs of life. Then, through the laptop, I form a wireless connection (the laptop is now distributing Wi-Fi) and, lo and behold, all the devices began to "fly" as before. I check: the laptop distributes the Internet on channel 11, a good signal and stable operation. Please help me figure out the issue.

Answer

Hello. More specific information about the problem itself. Is it just a bad speed, or is the signal level dropping? You wrote that the Wi-Fi signal is "stalling".

Also check:

  1. What is the speed with a direct connection, and what is through a router via Wi-Fi on different devices.
  2. Speed when connected via cable from a router.

It is strange, of course, that after replacing the router with TP-Link, the situation has not changed, and when distributing Wi-Fi from a laptop, everything works well and stably.

This is all very similar to the noise problem. Is there any source of interference near the router? When did you change the channel, save the settings and reboot the router?

You can answer your questions in the comments. Let's think further.
