The settings menu of the ASUS RT-N10E router is displayed incorrectly, it is displayed equally incorrectly in any browser. For a long time there was no password on WiFi, now I decided to put it because the speed began to drop in the evenings, perhaps the neighbors are connecting.

But I ran into this problem, I leave a screenshot, look, you will understand for yourself.

Windows is pirated for me. And when you try to use the Setup Wizard router from the original disk that was included with the router, and if you download this program from the Internet, after entering the username and password, the standard ones, they did not change, then it displays "A script error occurred on this page", the second screenshot, there are many such errors one after another, and as a result, if you skip them, then nothing is displayed in the program either.

Tell me please. Can a full reset of the router's settings help?

Answer

If the page with the settings of your ASUS RT-N10E is displayed crookedly (as in the screenshot) in different browsers, then try to log in from a different device. It is possible both from a computer and from a phone or tablet.

In this case, it is unlikely that you can advise something other than resetting the router settings to factory settings. But there is no guarantee that this will help. Perhaps this is some kind of software glitch.

If, after resetting the settings on different devices, the web interface is also displayed incorrectly, then you can still look for information on restoring the firmware on ASUS RT-N10E. To enter recovery mode on it (if it is in this router) and re-upload the firmware into it.

We have instructions for restoring ASUS routers, but I'm not sure if it will work for your router.
