Why does my laptop periodically disconnect from the Wi-Fi network of the Tenda F3 router?

I recently bought a Tenda F3 router, set it up, hung it up, after a while the Internet just started to disappear on a laptop (Windows 7 ultimate), when I go to the Internet from my phone, the Internet works. I called my provider about the problem: they said to update the network drivers - updated. I rebooted the router, changed radio channels - nothing helped.

The Internet just turns off, although it writes that it is connected to the Internet, sometimes it writes limited access or a yellow exclamation mark appears where the wifi is. When I click disconnect and then reconnect, the Internet works again. The shutdown interval is different, from 5 minutes to 3 hours. I am hope for your help.

Answer

The problem is ambiguous. There can be a lot of reasons and, accordingly, solutions.

It would be nice to find out how your laptop works with other Wi-Fi networks. Whether the Internet is disconnected when connecting to another network. Maybe there is some connection with performing certain tasks on a laptop and disconnecting from Wi-Fi (switching to "limited" mode). As I understand it, for some time after installing the Tenda F3 router, the Internet worked stably. Maybe the problem appeared after installing a program, or changing settings in Windows 7? Have the latest Wi-Fi driver installed from the laptop manufacturer's website?

What I suggest to do:

  1. Perform a network reset and reconnect the laptop to its wireless network.
  2. Register static DNS addresses in the IPv4 properties of the wireless Internet connection.
  3. Set the maximum performance for the wireless network adapter in the power settings and disable the adapter from being disabled in the device manager according to this instruction.
  4. Enable Federal Standard Compliance (FIPS) mode. Read more here. The penultimate screenshot in the article.
  5. Check the box next to "Connect even if the network does not broadcast its name (SSID)" in the properties of the Wi-Fi network. See solution # 1 in this article: https://help-wifi.com/reshenie-problem-i-oshibok/otvalivaetsya-wi-fi-v-windows-10-obryvaetsya-podklyuchenie-po-wi-fi-na- noutbuke /. There, for example, Windows 10, but in Windows 7 everything is about the same.

I think some of this should work. There is a possibility that this is a hardware problem with the Wi-Fi module. Maybe Tenda F3 is crashing. But it works fine on other devices.
