Good day. A couple of days ago I pulled out the GIGABYTE Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi Card from the bins and connected it to my motherboard G1.Assassin 2 (rev. 1.0). Extended information on equipment http://www.gigabyte.ru/products/page/mb/g1assassin2rev_10/overview/. System on a Windows 7 x64 computer. The purpose of connecting the card is to receive updates on the Nokia Lumiya 650 dual SIM with a preinstalled Windows 10 system. On the computer, Internet-РРоЕ and a local network. I had nothing to do with wai fay before.

I installed the card, driver, did it as written on your website. There are 2 new connection connections in network connections. 1. Network card. 2. Virtual card. All drivers are in the dispatcher. After completing all the procedures for configuring from the command line, everything seemed to work out. The virtual card has received a connection. The Ateros adapter is connected. However, wi-fi only sends but does not receive packets. Included with the card was a disc with an English-language Wi-Fi Share program, which also failed to connect.

Now the questions:

  1. Maybe the problem is in the installation of wines in the system. 7 special firewood for Lumiya?
  2. Does this network adapter, like a router, have a network address (192 .... I don’t remember further) to enter the "engineering menu";
  3. Are there any dependencies between bluetooth and wi-fi if, for example, bluetooth is turned off completely (in the manager, services, etc.), that is, will wi-fi work practically?;
  4. What am I doing wrong - why is there no wi-fi connection only sends but does not receive packets? Maybe it's MTU?
  5. Maybe some kind of setting in BIOS affects the connection?

Answer:

Good afternoon. Do it, I will also try to answer your questions in order.

1I understand correctly, you want to distribute the Internet via Wi-Fi to your mobile phone via the GIGABYTE Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi Card Wi-Fi adapter? Is the Internet connected via cable, PPPoE? It's just a very important point, and you did not specifically write about it. In this case, the drivers for Lumiya are not needed at all.

2No, the GIGABYTE Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi Card does not have its own control panel like routers. It is not a stand alone device. The driver is simply installed on it already in Windows. Just like any other Wi-Fi adapter.

3I think that if you turn off Bluetooth, then Wi-Fi will work. Although I cannot say, this is already a question for the adapter developers. And why turn it off.

I still don't understand where and when there is no Wi-Fi connection. What have you configured there. If you can, attach screenshots from the page with all adapters, from the device manager, and directly from the problem in the comments. Did you just set up Wi-Fi sharing? We have instructions for distributing Wi-Fi on Windows 7. If you haven't seen it yet, take a look. Maybe you just didn't share it. Do you have your phone connected to the network shared by your computer via the GIGABYTE Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi Card adapter?

5I think BIOS has nothing to do with it.

To be honest, I didn't understand the problem itself, and I didn't understand what you want to do, what is the goal. You can complete the question in the comments.
