Wi-Fi connection speed drops regularly on PC (MGTS - Windows 10 - TP-link Archer T9UH)

Good afternoon. After reading a bunch of forums, I could not find the answer.

And so, GIVEN:

  • Router from MGTS with the declared 300 Mbit / s, (I sit at 5 GHz frequency).
  • Stationary computer with Wi-Fi adapter TP-link AC 1900 (Archer T9UH) at the same 5 GHz frequency., Via a working USB 3.0 output.

And so, as soon as I installed the firewood (the last from the site) everything worked fine, the speed test, and simple observations showed a confident fast Internet speed (about 260, 310 Mbit / s (receive / return) according to the speed test).

A day passed and I began to notice that the work in the browser became a little tight, I looked at the speed test and turned gray. The speed test (hereinafter referred to as ST) was 6.28 Mbps (send / receive). I started to sin on the device or firewood. Having rearranged the firewood, the speed on the ST increased to 12.35 Mbit / s (prem / return). Then I sinned on the provider, but the ST on the laptop (5 GHz, and on the iPhone with a 5 GHz connection) showed stable 240, 300 Mbit / s.

I dug around a lot of forums, but I could not find an answer. Your article helped (https://help-wifi.com/reshenie-problem-i-oshibok/sbros-nastroek-seti-v-windows-10/), but after a day of stable internet at a speed of 220+, 300+ Mbps with everything again returned to indicators of 3.20 Mbit / s (receive / return). I broke my whole head, and since I'm not a computer wizard, I ask for help, can someone else come across a similar one?

Answer

Good afternoon. Yes, a strange and incomprehensible problem. 200 - 300 Mbps, which your devices show on speedtest.net - this is a very good connection speed.

Why the speed drops on a stationary computer via TP-link Archer T9UH is difficult to say. Only guesswork.

The main point - if you reset the network settings again, will the speed be normal for a while? Or does this solution no longer help? Maybe you have some kind of VPN configured in Windows 10, or some program installed that can change the parameters of the Internet connection and affect the connection speed? Have you tried to simply remove the Archer T9UH Wi-Fi adapter in Device Manager and restart your computer? And if you reinstall the drivers downloaded from the site for the Archer T9UH?

Please provide answers to these questions in the comments. Let's think further.
