Good afternoon! I would be grateful if you can tell me the solution to the next question. I bought a TP-LINK TL-WR940N router specifically for it, because on the back panel (I'm attaching a photo) there is a wi-fi disable button.

The router itself is working properly, but I can't figure out how to turn off Wi-Fi using this button (wi-fi / vps)? I tried it for a long time and shortly and twice, I still have wi-fi! I know that Wi-Fi can be turned off programmatically, but it's convenient for me to use the button. Please tell me how to press this button so that the wi-fi turns off? Thank you very much in advance!

Answer

Good afternoon. Usually, the Wi-Fi / WPS button on TP-Link routers works as follows:

Try to do everything again. If it doesn't work, the button itself may be broken. Pay attention to the Wi-Fi and WPS indicators. Whether the WPS function is activated when this button is pressed.

Just in case, I leave a link to the instructions on how to turn off the router, or the Wi-Fi network. There I also showed how to disable the wireless network through the settings of the router.
