Good afternoon! The WLAN and Wi-Fi icons on the router (D-Link DIR-300) suddenly stopped burning for me. The laptop sees that the cable is connected, but it says "unrecognized network" and "no internet connection." (The laptop has windows 10.) Looked at all the tips. Website 192.168.0.1 won't open due to lack of internet. Reset and reboot doesn't help. I suspect that the matter is in the router itself, but I would like to do something about it. Help me please!!

Answer

Hello. WLAN and Wi-Fi are the same thing. D-Link DIR-300 has one indicator in the form of a Wi-Fi antenna. You probably had to enter that the Wi-Fi and WAN (Internet) indicator is off?

I think that this is a hardware breakdown of the router, and it is unlikely that you will be able to fix it yourself. And is there any point in giving it for repair ...

You can try to reset the settings to the factory settings by holding down the Reset button for 10-15 seconds. But you already wrote that it doesn't help. Make sure you reset correctly. Try again.

To enter the D-Link DIR-300 settings, to the address 192.168.0.1, the Internet is not needed. The router should just be connected to the computer.

If the 192.168.0.1 address does not open, then this again indicates a broken router.

Most likely you will have to change your router. As practice shows, if some indicators are not on (in your case, Wi-Fi and WAN on the DIR-300) or are on / blinking differently than usual, then this is a hardware breakdown.
