Hello. I have an iPhone 5. I used Wi-Fi from a café on the first floor of my house.
Updated the system on the phone. After a while, the following problem appeared:
Finds a network, but does not automatically connect. I enter the password, after which I need to click connect, but the "connect" button looks inactive and therefore does not respond. After I enter any 3 numbers or letters in addition to the old password, the button becomes active, but of course it does not connect and writes that the password is incorrect.
The password was not changed in the cafe. The connect button becomes active only with 7 numbers or letters entered in a chaotic order. The password consists of 5. Restarting the phone, resetting the network settings - the effect is zero.

On the iPhone, the "Connect" button, when connected to Wi-Fi, becomes active after entering a password of at least 8 characters (and not 7, you probably made a mistake). Password cannot be shorter than 8 characters when using WPA2 security.
I don't think the cafe chain is using the old type of network security. It is strange that the password for this network consists of 5 characters. Something is wrong there. Maybe they still changed the password, or set up some other way to protect the network and authorize devices. I think that we are unlikely to be able to find out, since you do not have access to the settings of the router.
All you can do directly on iPhone is reset network settings. But this is unlikely to solve the problem. If you choose this public network of cafes, enter the correct password, but the "Connect" button is inactive, then the iPhone cannot be connected to this network in any way.
