Xiaomi NoteBook Pro often disconnects from home Wi-Fi network

Hello, I have a similar problem as in this thread https://help-wifi.com/voprosy-otvety/pochemu-noutbuk-xiaomi-notebook-pro-perestaet-videt-wi-fi-seti/, but the problem is that the laptop sees all Wi-Fi networks and works without problems when connected to a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. But when it comes to a home router (router), everything turns out to be very deplorable: the connection is often cut off and when diagnosing problems, the message "The default gateway is not available" pops up.

I did everything according to your instructions with energy saving and other settings - it still disappears. I installed the latest drivers - also 0 results. Other devices connected to the router are stable.

In the end, I can't figure out whether the problem is in the router or in the laptop. Thanks.

Answer

Hello. The problem is ambiguous. It would be nice if you described in more detail exactly how and at what moments the connection to the home Wi-Fi network on your Xiaomi NoteBook Pro is "disconnected". Have you tested the work of Wi-Fi with a long connection to another router (not a phone)?

If you have already applied all the solutions from the article, the default gateway is not available, then I recommend trying to register static IP and DNS addresses (including the gateway) in the properties of the wireless connection for the IPv4 protocol. How to do this, I showed in the article how to register an IP address in Windows 7. True, as you already understood, using the example of Windows 7. But in Windows 10 everything is almost the same.

Try it. If it doesn't help, write in the comments. Maybe remember some more useful information on the problem.
