Hello Sergey! The situation is this:

Equipment:

  • TV: LG 42LS570T-ZB
  • TV remote model: AKB73615306
  • Android TV box: ZTE ZXV10 B866

Problem:

After the child "conjured" with the TV remote control, or with the Android TV prefix, or with the remote control from it (with what exactly, it is now impossible to understand) the following problem arose: the TV remote control now interacts with the prefix (for example, if on the TV remote control, press the channel switch button, then the "About device" menu opens in the STB).

How I tried to solve the problem:

On the console, I reset the settings to the factory settings, but this did not solve the problem (as I understand it, you need to deal with the memory of the remote control, and not with the dock).

Question:

Tell me, how can you "untie" the TV remote control from the set-top box?

Hello. I'm sorry to be late with the reply. I understand that right after connecting the set-top box, the TV remote control did not control the set-top box? Is the console remote also active?

Perhaps the reason is HDMI-CEC. This is a technology that allows you to control devices that are connected to the TV via HDMI. It should be possible to disable this feature in your LG TV settings. Find "SimpLink HDMI-CEC" in the TV settings and disable it. After that, the TV remote control should not control the TV.

Most likely the setting is in the Input menu. Where do we choose the signal source.

There should be a "SimpLink" button.
