Residents of Ukraine probably know very well such an Internet provider as Intertelecom. Especially those who live in small towns and villages. Where there is no way to connect a regular cable Internet. I can say with confidence that almost everyone who uses the Internet in the villages is connected through the Intertelecom provider. Yes, they have the largest 3G coverage in Ukraine. This provider has its pluses and minuses, but that's not about that now.

For several years now, I go online from time to time via Intertelecom. I recently changed the tariff to "Super 3G Unlimited" and in this article I want to make a small review of this tariff. I'll tell you about the pros, my impressions, and of course the connection speed and capabilities. I myself, when I wanted to change the tariff, looked for normal reviews, but I couldn't find anything. I think this information will be of interest to many.

Until recently, it was connected at the "3G Unlimited 139" tariff (according to which, recently, they were already giving 2000 MB per day). Then, when these megabytes ran out, such as full unlimited :) But, in fact, the Internet practically does not work, such a low speed. In addition, even these 2000 MBs worked at speeds up to 3.1 Mbps. My speed was something like this:

It’s clear that you don’t particularly watch movies. Downloading something is just as difficult. Not even because of the speed, but because of the limit of 2000 MB per day. So, just sit on the Internet, well, listen to Vkontakte music. And the Internet was not always stable, especially in the evenings. The load on the base station made itself felt.

"Super 3G Unlimited": is it worth connecting?

I tried to connect my home Internet Wi-Fi last year, but they could not get a signal from me.

And recently, I looked at tariffs on the Intertelecom website and saw this"Super 3G Unlimited"... The price is 299 UAH. a month, of course, a little strained. Expensive, whatever one may say. But, of course, I studied the tariff. By the way, there is a tariff "Super 3G Unlimited Regional". If you live in one of the regions listed on the Intertelecom website, then the price for this tariff will be lower - 199 UAH. Which, in principle, is not bad at all. But, I did not get into the terms of this tariff :)

The main advantages of "Super 3G Unlimited":

  • Full unlimited 3G internet. As it turned out, this is indeed the case.
  • At the same time, full unlimited at speeds up to 14.7 Mbit / s (if your modem supports Rev.B).

Well, very interesting. Since my Internet via Wi-Fi the router is distributed to many different devices, and everyone wants to download something, watch a video, etc., I decided that it was worth trying.

My old Novatel U720 modem did not support Rev.B. And pay 300 UAH. per month and using the Internet at speeds up to 3.1 Mbps is of course pointless. Plus, I wasn't sure if I would have Rev.B coverage.

I went to the Intertelecom office. They said that Rev.B coverage should be. I bought a new one with support for Rev.B - Huawei EC 306-2. And already at home, I changed the tariff to "Super 3G Unlimited". I have been using it for several days.

To be honest, I am satisfied. Although, I am not very happy with the Intertelecom provider itself. Because of the prices, of course, and due to the fact that the Internet is simply not connected. And even through heavy load on base stations, the speed often drops.

Internet speed, and opportunities on the "Super 3G Unlimited" tariff

As it turned out, I still have Rev.B coverage. The speed has increased very decently. Here are the measurements already on the new tariff:

As you can see, this is not the maximum. 14.7 Mbps does not pull. But, this is through a router and via Wi-Fi. And I have a signal of 60% (this is in the program that was installed with the drivers from the modem). My antenna is tuned with the AxesstelPst EvDO program. True, the signal is not maximum, you probably need a more powerful antenna. Apparently because of this, there is no maximum speed of 14.7 Mbps. By the way, I wrote here about how to increase the speed of the Internet by Internet.

As for the real speed, files are downloaded at about 700-1300 Kb / s during the day. It downloads torrents in the same way. Here's a download of the file in the Opera browser:

Movies online in 720p run smoothly, even in the evening. As for Full HD (1080p), everything loads just fine. But, sometimes it happens that it stops. This is not a problem, we pause, jam for 10 minutes and then watch the movie until the end. On YouTube, during the day, at stretch and with stops, even video in 4k (UHD) loads :)

Not bad, as for 3G Internet, and even through a Wi-Fi router. And my reception is not maximum. If you put a more powerful antenna, then it should be even better. And of course, full unlimited pleases. Yes, the price is 299 UAH. per month not very happy :)

And what will happen if a large number of subscribers who connect through one base station connect to this unlimited Internet? And everyone will start downloading torrents and watching movies. It seems to me that the speed and stability of work will deteriorate greatly. It is unlikely that Intertelecom will improve its base stations, because money will be paid anyway. It seems to me that the quality can deteriorate significantly.

Update

The speed I wrote about above did not last long. Now the real download speed is no more than 500 Kbps. This is the maximum, usually less. The cost of the tariff has already been raised several times. At the start it was 299 UAH. per month, now 350 UAH.

Signal level for Axesstel software has not changed. The speed dropped in one moment, almost 2 times. That's the case.

Like laying a grid from the city, it would be cool. Intertelecom has no quality.

Here is a review, I hope, useful for you. Do not forget to leave a comment and share the link in social. networks :)
