Often there are times when, in the process of configuring the router, or if any problems arise, you need to reset the settings to the factory settings. Now we will look at two ways in which you can reset the settings of a Netis router. The first way is with a special button on the router's body. The second way is through the control panel.

After this procedure, the settings on the router will be restored to factory defaults. All passwords will also be reset: for the Wi-Fi network, and the password that you need to enter to enter the settings (if you have set it). By the way, if you forgot the password that protects the settings of the router, then you cannot do without resetting the parameters. Well, I always advise you to return to the factory parameters before setting up, so that those parameters that may already have been set do not interfere with us during the setup process.

Netis: reset settings and password with a button on the router

The easiest and most reliable way. Connect power to the router, and turn it on. Find the button on the back (usually) of the device Default, it is usually recessed into the body, take something sharp, and press on it. You need to clamp it by about 10-15 seconds.

The router will reboot and the settings will be restored to factory defaults.

Method two: through the control panel

We need to go to the router settings. To do this, you need to connect to our Netis, open any browser and go tohttp://netis.cc, or 192.168.1.1... If you are prompted for a username and password, then enter them (you must remember them, as they are set by the user).

On the control page, click on the button Advancedto open advanced settings.

Then go to the tab SystemFactory settings, and click on the button Reestablish.

A warning will appear, click Ok.

We are waiting for the recovery process to end.

The router will reboot, and if you connected by cable, a page with settings will open.

After restoring the parameters, to connect to Wi-Fi, use the standard password that is indicated on the bottom of the router. The Wi-Fi network itself will also have a standard name.

I showed it on the example of the Netis WF2411 model, but your Default button itself can be placed a little differently. But this does not change anything, we do everything according to the instructions.
