I distribute Wi-Fi from Android to home devices. According to your article, I tried to configure the router for Wi-Fi reception and cable transmission. What addresses to register when the "main router" is a mobile phone?

Thanks in advance.

Answer

Once I set up a TP-Link router in bridge mode by connecting it to a phone that was distributing Wi-Fi. Everything worked. There is no need to register any addresses (you can not even change the IP address, as I wrote in the article), we do everything according to the instructions: https://help-wifi.com/tp-link/nastrojka-routera-tp-link-v- rezhime-mosta-wds-soedinyaem-dva-routera-po-wi-fi / It doesn't matter which access point is: a router or a phone.

Reset the settings on your TP-Link router, go to the settings, in WDS mode, connect to the Wi-Fi network of your smartphone and turn off the DHCP server. The cable Internet should work, and the TP-Link router will act as a receiver for your computer (or whatever you have). If you have problems, then try not to disable the DHCP server. Although, if you do not turn it off, then the Internet via cable does not work.
