I have an excellent TP-Link AC750 RE210 Wi-Fi network repeater, which I wrote about setting up in the article Configuring TP-Link AC750 RE210. Enhance Wi-Fi signal at 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I sat today, thought about something useful to write, and decided to tell in more detail about this repeater. I will make a short review, add a photo, and tell you about its capabilities.

To be honest, I don’t understand why most users are cautious about repeaters. They say why spend money on some incomprehensible device when you can do without it. I am now talking about those users who have encountered a problem when, after installing a router, the Wi-Fi network does not catch the entire apartment, house, office, etc. Simply put, when there is no Wi-Fi coverage where it is needed. After all, no matter how powerful a router is, it cannot always break through several walls, or broadcast a wireless network over several floors.

Many, when faced with such a problem, begin to look for different solutions. Yes, you can slightly increase the range of your wireless network without buying a repeater. How to do this, I wrote in the article How to strengthen the signal of a Wi-Fi network? We increase the range of Wi-Fi. But in most cases, these methods are not enough. And everyone wants to find a magic button in the router settings, after clicking on which, the range of the Wi-Fi network will increase several times. It doesn't work that way.

When it comes to the understanding that the Wi-Fi settings cannot be strengthened, for some reason many are considering the option of buying a second router. Well, why? After all, there are separate devices for these tasks, Wi-Fi network repeaters. Repeaters, Wi-Fi amplifiers, whatever. And TP-Link AC750 RE210 is one of these devices, a good option.

Enhancing Wi-Fi with TP-Link AC750 RE210

The device is very simple and beautiful. Everything is set up in a couple of minutes. The wireless gain is very good. What else is needed?

We turned on TP-Link AC750 RE210, set it up to connect to a router, and got Wi-Fi coverage where it was not. One wireless network will remain in the house. Your devices will seamlessly switch between the wireless network of the router and the amplifier. If necessary, you can configure the repeater to broadcast the wireless network with a different name and password. It's not difficult, TP-Link AC750 RE210 has its own control panel, like routers.

There are not many controls. On the right side there are two buttons: Reset to reset the repeater settings, and LED to turn off the indicators on the front panel, so that they do not interfere in the dark.

On the left side we have a RE button to connect to the router, and a Power button so that we can turn off the repeater without disconnecting it from the outlet.

There is one LAN port on the bottom. It is needed to connect to the Internet via a network cable. For example, if you have devices without Wi-Fi in your house (desktops, TVs), you can connect them to the Internet using a cable. It turns out that TP-Link AC750 RE210 can act as a regular Wi-Fi adapter. By the way, the LAN port is gigabit.

TP-Link RE210 has small antennas, which are rare in repeaters. They can be folded as needed. Thanks to them, strengthening the wireless network is even more effective.

There are small holes on the side panels for cooling the device. The front panel LEDs will inform you when the device is on, connecting to wireless networks, and starting the process of connecting to the router.

A little about the technical characteristics of TP-Link RE210

I don't think you will be interested in all the technical aspects. TP-Link RE210 is a dual band repeater. This means that it can simultaneously boost a dual-band Wi-Fi network. At 2.4 GHz, and 5 GHz. If you have a dual band router installed, then you need just such a repeater. And if you now have an ordinary router that distributes Wi-Fi only at 2.4 GHz, then I would definitely recommend buying a dual-band repeater, as it will be relevant for a long time. And you don't have to change it if you buy a more modern router.

This repeater has been working for me for several weeks. No problem at all. And the reviews about TP-Link RE210 on the Internet are good. I am satisfied and I advise you.

And also, it looks a little like some kind of robot :)

There will be questions, ask in the comments, I will be happy to answer! Well, write your reviews about TP-Link AC750 RE210 if you already own this device.
