Hello, I bought a Canon pixma mx474 printer with wi-fi connection, but the problem is that in order for it to connect, you have to turn it on or off several times, or the router itself, and only .. knows from what time it connects, in the settings router, it is always displayed in the Wi-Fi - Client List tab, but in the DHCP status tab it appears only after several turns on, the printer shows that it is connected to the network and prints information about the network without problems, but the laptop does not detect it in any way.

Answer

Hello. According to the idea, there should be no problems.

Look at the IP settings. What IP is indicated on the "Client List" tab (there seems to be an opportunity to see it). Also, after printing out the network information, the IP address that the printer received from the router should be indicated there.

I have no experience in setting up a Canon printer with a D-Link router over a Wi-Fi network, but I think that the problem is precisely in getting the IP address from the router. Again, I don't have access to the printer, I can't tell you specifically, but maybe there is an opportunity to set static IP settings. Maybe then the connection problem will disappear. If it is possible to set static IP settings, then on the router it will be possible to allocate this address for the printer (bind by MAC).

The instructions for your printer tell you about the IJ Network Tool. This program allows you to change the network settings of your printer. And as far as I understand, there you can set static IP settings. You should try experimenting with this program.
