For example, if you do NOT have a smartphone, then most likely you will not be able to configure the router from your phone. And if you have an Android or iOS smartphone, then everything can be set up without any problems. As well as from a computer.
To install and configure the router from the phone, it is enough to correctly connect the router, turn it on, and from the phone it will connect to the Wi-Fi network, which the router will distribute. It will have a factory name. If the network is closed, then you can see the password (PIN) on the router itself (usually on a sticker). The name of the Wi-Fi network (SSID) will also be indicated there.
When you connect to the router, open any browser and go to the router settings at the address indicated on the router itself. Most likely it is 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.0.1. On the authorization page, you will most likely need to specify your login and password. These are usually admin and admin.
When you go to the router settings from your phone, you can change them. Set up a Wi-Fi network and an Internet connection. Much depends on the manufacturer and the model of the router. And also from your internet provider.
