Hello! Now we will change the password of the Netis router. I have to enter a password that is used to protect the Wi-Fi network. Also, according to this instruction, you can set a password if you have not yet set it.

I always recommend setting good passwords to protect your wireless network so that no one but you can connect to it. And you need to do this immediately after installing the router. In the instructions for configuring Netis WF2411, I wrote how to do this. Well, a separate instruction on changing the security key on Netis routers will definitely not be superfluous. There are different situations, you may forget the password, or you want to change the password so that previously connected devices cannot connect.

Instructions for changing the password of a Netis router

To change the password, you need to connect to the router via a Wi-Fi network, or by cable. Next, go to the settings of the Netis router. Open your browser and go to the addresshttp://netis.cc, or192.168.1.1... If you have already set a password for accessing the settings, you will need to specify it. The quick settings page will open. Click the button Advancedto go to advanced settings.

Go to the tab Wireless mode, and if necessary, select the required 2.4G band, or 5G if you have a dual-band router.

On the menu Authentication type select WPA2-PSK... And the Password field will contain the password that is currently set. If you want to change it, then erase the old one and just write down the new one. The password must be at least 8 characters long. Press the button to save Save.

The settings will be saved and the router will reboot. All devices that have been connected via Wi-Fi will be disconnected. Since we have changed the password, they will need to be reconnected to Wi-Fi. And if you only changed the password, the network name did not change, then the computer may have problems connecting to Wi-Fi. As a rule, this is an error "Windows could not connect to ...", or "Network settings saved ...".

To fix this, you need to delete the Wi-Fi network information in Windows 7, and forget the network in Windows 8 and Windows 10.

Now use the set password to connect to your Wi-Fi. Well, it is advisable not to forget it, and if you do, you can remember it in the way described above, or according to the instructions from this article.
