Question: Good afternoon. Help me please.

Once again, the laptop stopped connecting to the WiFi network. At first it was so that the laptop was connected to the WiFi network and sometimes the connection was lost, writing something like the network parameters changed, but it was immediately restored. But today I stopped connecting at all. Although I create an access point on the phone, the laptop connects normally. It turns out that he does not want to connect specifically with the router.

I tried to reinstall the adapter drivers on the laptop (did not help). I enter the passwords correctly, especially since they are already saved automatically. In the room there are two laptops, the problem is only on one and the phones are also normal. I tried to delete the network on the laptop (it did not help), now it gives out this inscription when typing the password (wrong key or passphrase). The topic that you have posted ("Wi-Fi error: Network security key mismatch" in Windows 7 ") does not suit my problem. On both Windows 7 laptops, the password is more than 8 characters. And even more so before that it worked fine.

Answer:

Good afternoon. Your problem is clear. But, the fact is, as practice shows, if the error "Wrong key or passphrase" appears, then it is really wrong. It doesn't matter if it's Windows 7, 8, or Windows 10.

But, it is possible that you really have some kind of failure. As far as I understand, you deleted the network according to this instruction, and now, when connecting, the error "Invalid key or passphrase" appears.

I think that the problem can be solved by changing the name of the Wi-Fi network and the password in the settings of your router. Very often, it helps. Especially changing the SSID (network name). You did not write what kind of router you have. If you do not know how to change these parameters, write a model of the router, I will tell you in more detail, or give links to articles.
