Connection drops off on Netis router

Hello. The problem is this: we bought a new router about a year ago, and since then we have been suffering with it. The Internet was set up by a wizard sent by the provider, but sometimes (or even every day, and sometimes several times a day) the router does not distribute the Internet. You have to turn it off from the network for a few minutes, or pull out the cable. There is an Internet connection by cable, so the problem is not with the provider. HP laptop, Windows 7. Internet is not distributed for laptops or phones.

They see the connection (name of the network), but they cannot connect. On phones, there is a wi-fi icon with an exclamation mark, on a laptop, the network is also with an exclamation mark. No one touches the cable or the router, it falls off by itself. Sometimes rebooting does not help, we plug the cable into the laptop. What can be wrong? Thanks.

Hello. You have not specified the model of your Netis router, which is very bad. But I'm sure this is some kind of budget model, inexpensive. Since most often, such problems, when a router loses its Internet connection and has to be rebooted, occur on inexpensive routers. And not only with Netis routers. This is the "disease" of all budget network devices.

I wrote about this problem in the articles: the Internet disappears, after restarting the router it appears. What to do? and the router is constantly rebooting, or you have to reboot.

As a rule, this happens due to the fact that the router simply cannot cope with the load and freezes. It is also possible that there are already some defects (swollen capacitors, for example) on the router board itself, or in the power supply. They are very sensitive to power supply, and the slightest voltage fluctuations put the router into a stupor, and it loses its connection with the provider. Only reboot helps.

I would also try to update the firmware of the Netis router. You can do this according to the instructions on how to flash a Netis router. You can then reset the settings to factory defaults, and configure it again. Only if the wizard from the provider set it up for you, then you may not be able to configure it correctly yourself, and you will be left without the Internet at all.
