Or is it better to re-order a street router and do it normally without these crutches?

Good afternoon. It is a pity that you did not write what kind of "street router". Couldn't he be giving away another 2.4 GHz network? As a rule, all routers supporting the 5 GHz band are dual-band.
And one more important point: is it possible to stretch a network cable from a "street router" to TP-Link Archer C2?
There is one solution to your problem that you can try. It may be possible to convert your 5 GHz network to 2.4 GHz.
The method is to configure the TP-Link Archer C2 router in bridge mode at a frequency of 5 GHz. According to the idea, after that he will distribute two networks. Including in the 2.4 GHz range. Which is what you need.

I looked, in the TP-Link Archer C2 settings, there seems to be such an opportunity.
Try it. After clicking on the "Scan" button, a list of networks will appear. Select a Wi-Fi network from an "outdoor router". In the "Password" field, enter the password for this network. Click on the "Save" button.
