When the router is turned off and on, the devices cannot connect via Wi-Fi

Hello, this is the problem:

After turning off and turning on the router (in fact, after every turn off the light), other devices see the Wireless connection, but cannot connect to it. All settings are saved, the network name and password to it remain the same, devices see the network name in the wireless connection list, but do not connect to it.

I have to go into the settings of the router through the computer to which the router is connected via the cable, and change any user setting by applying the change, and only after that all the devices that were connected to this network suddenly connect, i.e. get an ip-address, and a wi-fi is distributed.

Hence the question: is it possible to somehow do something so that you do not have to go into the settings of the router through the computer every time, changing the user setting? Logically, after turning it off and on, the router should consistently distribute Wi-Fi without interfering with the settings.

Answer

Hello. It is clear that after turning off and turning on the power of the router, it should work normally, and the devices should connect without problems. All settings are saved in the permanent memory of the router. Well, routers do not have any special power off options. Simply unplug the power adapter or turn off the power with a button. If it is. Which is basically the same thing.

It's bad that you did not specify the router model. And they did not write what specific problems and errors when connecting to Wi-Fi from different devices. After all, if you can connect to the router via cable and go into the settings, then it is distributing IP addresses. It looks like the problem is with the wireless module.

I think that apart from updating the firmware and reconfiguring the router (after resetting the settings to the factory settings), I can not advise anything else here.

Most likely, this is a software problem, not a hardware one.
