Is it D-Link's disease or something. How many times have I heard about a similar problem in the comments and not only. The login / password does not fit, the settings cannot be reset, then after changing the password, you cannot log into the D-Link router. It seems to me that this is some kind of software or hardware failure.
After resetting the settings and entering the D-Link DIR-615 control panel, have you tried to close the window with a proposal to change the router password (there seems to be such an opportunity) and change it in the appropriate section? I can't tell you exactly where, I don't know what kind of firmware (interface) you have. Set some simple password there. For example: 111111. And login - admin. Save settings and reboot from control panel.
Also try to do it from another device, or at least from another browser.
Wish I had access to your router to experiment with the settings.
