Good afternoon! The problem is this. I have TP-Link TL-WR845N, Rostelecom provider, tariff All at once 2019. I take speed measurements with Speedtest mobile application and PC in Wi-Fi environment. With a normal signal, PC speed is 20MB, mobile speed is 35-40MB.
The signal itself is checked with the WI-Fi Monitor application.: Somewhere around 40dBm., The bandwidth is 40MHz. I chose the channel more free from neighbors, and after some time the speed drops significantly. I restore after restarting the router (power off-on after 5-10 minutes). Is this normal or something needs to be corrected? Thanks.

Hello. 20 Mbps via TP-Link TL-WR845N is not enough. 35-40 Mbps is better, but still. And of course, the speed should not drop after some time. An important point: the speed also depends on the receiver (a device that is connected to the network), and on external factors. In this regard, you need to clarify a few points:
- Does Wi-Fi speed drop simultaneously on PC and mobile devices?
- Are you measuring the speed near the router (the signal is normal)?
- Do you have many nearby Wi-Fi networks in your home?
- Judging by the "40 MHz bandwidth", we changed the Wi-Fi settings to TP-Link TL-WR845N (since there is usually a car and a router selects 20 MHz), the speed may have dropped because of this.
- What is the cable speed from the router? And then you never know, maybe this provider for some reason starts to cut the speed, and accordingly, it also drops over Wi-Fi.
- Maybe you noticed the connection between the drop in speed with the connection of some devices, or with the performance of some actions on the connected clients (online games, downloading torrents, watching videos, etc.)?
Try the following:
- Update the TP-Link TL-WR845N firmware.
- Perform a factory reset and configure TP-Link TL-WR845N again. In addition to the network name and password, do not change anything in the Wi-Fi settings.
