I have Zorin OS (Ubuntu). I connected the TP-Link TL-WR840N v2 router to the modem according to the instructions, plugged it into the network, and the first thing that caught my eye was that the WAN indicator did not light up (only "Power" and WLAN lit up). Then I tried to go to tplinkwifi.net (or 192.168.0.1) for configuration, but this page did not load. (I read the FAQ.) What to do?

Answer:

Try doing a factory reset first. Then, check the cable itself with which you connect the TP-Link TL-WR840N to the modem. It may be that he is not a worker. For example, use this cable to connect your computer to your modem. At the same time, check if the modem gives the Internet. Maybe the LAN port itself on the modem is not working. And look at some more tips from the article: the router does not see the Internet cable.

On the TP-Link TL-WR840N, the "gear" indicator should also flash. All this looks like the router has some kind of technical breakdown. Is he new? Or did something happen to him? As I understand it, the LAN indicator also does not light up when the cable is connected to the computer?

In general, there are a lot of incomprehensible moments to draw any conclusions. You have to check and try.
